Older furniture can be successfully revamped with new upholstery. Make sure the fabric you choose is suitable for upholstery and co-ordinates well with surrounding décor. Upholsterers can provide ideas on extra detail work such as fringing, piping, pleats and flounces. When having furniture upholstered it is an idea to purchase a small amount of extra fabric and ask the upholsterer to make protective covers for arms and headrests. |
