Brush fencing is constructed from branches of the tea tree specially grown for this purpose. Brushwood fences have a metal and wire base frame through which the brush is woven. The fences sit on either a treated pine, concrete or brick base to prevent moisture penetration and are generally constructed on site. Pre-assembled panels are also available but usually do not have the finishing rolled top.

For a continuous look or to retain privacy, gates can be constructed of the same material. However, if these gates require pool safety latches, you will need to ask the contractor to space the wiring at regulated distances such that children cannot climb the fence or gate. Check with your local council for details of the regulations that apply to your area.
