Vanity units provide essential storage in a bathroom and can be chosen from many materials and surfaces which are suitable to wet area application- sealed timbers, polyurethane, laminate finishes.... Vanity tops can be chosen from suitable materials such as coated solid timbers, granite, marble, synthetic mixtures, glass and stainless steel. Bowls can be fixed under or over the benchtop or can be made in one piece with the top in same material. It is often handy if space allows to have 2 separate basins within the vanity top. Vanities can be custom made or can be purchased pre-made in a wide range of styles, colours and materials to suit all budgets. |

Pedestal basins are becoming popular again and are available in a range of styles. As storage is not possible it is wise to have a cupboard incorporated with the mirror to overcome this problem. Where the pipes under a pedestal basin are exposed to view it can be more attractive to replace the plastic pipe with chrome or gold to match the taps. |
